For optical sorting of potatoes, freshly cut products, vegetables, dried fruit, fruit, seeds and grains, gumdrops, nuts, etc. in industrial use with Laser, Near infrared, Kamera or Multispectral-Sensor (BSI+).
Optical sorting machines are indispensable in modern food processing.
In a “free fall sorting machine” the product to be sorted lies on a conveyor belt and falls almost vertically at the end. In this area of free fall, the product is checked from one or two sides with an optic (scanner) and the machine knows where there are positions that need to be sorted out.
With air nozzles (for light products) or with flipper fingers (for heavy, larger products), defects or foreign bodies that need to be ejected are ejected to one side. Only the good product ends up on a discharge chute or conveyor belt.
Detection and exclusion of:
- Foreign bodies
- Defects in the product
- Rotten areas
- Colour variations
- Damaged product
- Size sorting
- And much more
