Post-wash basin / Washer / water bath cleaner
Post-wash basins are used to gently collect the product in a water bath after processing, such as cutting or peeling. The smallest parts and soiling are rinsed off.
Citric acid, ascorbic acid or sulphur etc. can be added to the water to avoid oxidization of cut products, such as fruits, apples, pears, potatoes, vegetables, carrots, lettuce, arugula, etc. Depending on the output, the products are usually fed directly from the upstream cutting process into the secondary sink. Because the product falls into a water bath, the treatment is very gentle.
By means of flow pumps or integrated paddle mechanisms, the product is swept to the discharge belt.
